Subhas Chandra Bose
Subhas Chandra Bose was an Indian nationalist whose defiant patriotism made him a hero in India. He is known for his role in India's independence movement.
He was born on 23rd January 1897 in Cattack to Janakinath Bose and Prabhabati Bose. Subhas Chandra Bose was studied in Calcutta (Kolkata) at the presidency College and the Scottish Churches College.
His parents then sent him to the UNIVERSITY OF CAMBRIDGE to prepare for Indian civil services. He passed the civil services examination but resigned his candidacy and returned India after hearing of nationalist turmoils there. Subhas Chandra Bose was married to Emili Schenkl, who was Austrian, and had one daughter Anita Bose Pfaff. Bose joined the Indian National Congress in 1921. He was the president of All India Youth Congress and also the secretary of Bengal State Congress. He was the founder of Azad Hind Fauz. Subhas Chandra Bose reportedly died in Japanese Hospital in Taiwan from burn injuries on August 8, 1945, due to plane crash.
